
Six Iranian arrested during November Protests, has been convicted to imprisonment, fine and lashes by branch number 101 of Second-Class Criminal Court under supervision of Hamid GoliNejad in Urmia. Ilyar Hosseinzadeh, Yasin Hassanpour, Ali Azizi, Salar Taher Afshar, Keyvan Pashayi and Amin Zare, are convicted Iranians, amongst them, Salar Taher Afshar, Amin Zare and Keyvan Pashayi is suspended for 3 years. They are accused of the crimes “Disrupting Public Order Via Participating in Illegal Protests and Blocking Streets” and “Disrupting Public Order Via Participating in Illegal Protests, Arson in Gas Stations, Filming and Publishing It in Social Media”.
According to reports to HRI, on Tuesday, March the 17th, Ilyar Hosseinzadeh, Yasin Hassanpour, Ali Azizi, Salar Taher Afshar, Keyvan Pashayi and Amin Zare who were convicted by branch 101 of Urmia Second-Class Criminal Court has been sentenced to 8 months imprisonment, fine and 20 lashes. This sentence is suspended for Salar Taher Afshar, Amin Zare and Keyvan Pashayi for 3 years, i.e. if they commit any crime and be arrested during this period, this conviction will be added to the new convictions.
According to a source close to these civilians, talking to HRI, “in the verdict delivered to them issued by branch 101 of Urmia Second-Class Criminal Court Ilyar Hosseinzadeh, Yasin Hassanpour, Ali Azizi, Salar Taher Afshar, Keyvan Pashayi and Amin Zare, are tried on the grounds of “Disrupting Public Order Via Participating in Illegal Protests and Blocking Streets” and “Disrupting Public Order Via Participating in Illegal Protests, Arson in Gas Stations, Filming and Publishing It in Social Media” 1500 thousand Tomans fine in replacement for 20 lashes and 8 months imprisonment which is suspended for Salar Taher Afshar, Amin Zare and Keyvan Pashayi for 3 years”.
The source has mentioned, “in indictment issued by Urmia public attorney explained the accusation of “Disrupting Public Order Via Participating in Illegal Protests and Blocking Streets” to Ali Azizi, Salat Taher Afshar, Keiban Pashayi, and Amin Zare. “Disrupting Public Order Via Participating in Illegal Protests, Arson in Gas Stations, Filming and Publishing It in Social Media” has been explained to Yasin Hosseinpour and Ilyar Hosseinzadeh, that was dismissed on the ground of having no private complainant.
Ali Azizi, civil activists, had his hearing in March 7th, 2020 but due to the fact that it was not served to him, and also as he was under arrest for another case, the hearing was done in his absence. Ali Azizi was arrested in November 20th, 2020 after secret agents attacked his work place and was released November 23rd, 2020 from Police Detention Center. Salar Taher Afshar was under arrest the same day after Secret Agents attacked his home and was released November 28th, 2020 by a bail of $24000.
